Peace instead of panic

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace, and as a result, He gives us His peace. We are to find our peace in Him. Right now, it can be easy to panic. People are losing their jobs. The corona virus is alive and well. Those are just a few examples of what can cause us to panic. However, when we fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, we can experience a peace that passes understanding.

Consider what the apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:6-7:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

This morning as you begin your day, you can choose to replace your panic with the peace of God by placing your faith and trust in Jesus Christ if you do not have a relationship with Him, and if you do know Him as your Lord and Savior, remember and call to mind what His Word says and take comfort in that. His Word is truth! No matter what is happening in the world, you can rest assured that Jesus Christ is in control. Have faith in God. He is on His throne!

Listen my friends, He will see you through! He will be your peace! Who or what do you find your peace in? Who or what is the object of your peace? If you are not finding your peace in Jesus Christ, my dear friend, then you will never have lasting peace. Turn to Christ and find your peace!
