Panic or Praise?

There is a lot that we simply cannot control when it comes to dealing with this vicious corona virus. It is easy to feel distressed, agitated, discouraged, depressed, etc. as a result. However, in spite of all the things that are out of our control, there are still a few things that we have control over and that includes our attitude. The question before us is this: Will we choose to panic or praise? It’s easy to panic, right? We are in the midst of dealing with a deadly pandemic, the economy is in bad shape, and as a result things like suicide and depression are on the rise. It is easy to panic. I want to challenge you from God’s Word to praise the Lord instead of panicking. I know it is hard not to panic, but if we panic, we are giving Satan a foothold, which is what he wants. Instead, we can choose to praise God.

Psalm 42:11 says:

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.”

This verse tells us to put our hope in God and to praise Him. When we panic, we are operating in fear instead of operating in faith. Hang in there and keep the faith. So, what is your choice? Will you choose panic, or will you choose praise? I pray that you always choose praise. It’s understandable to feel stressed and to panic, but what good will that do? We are going to beat this folks! Stay encouraged. Don’t lose hope. Have faith in God. He is on His throne.
