The Joy Killer

We are at war with a vicious enemy. Satan is his name. He absolutely hates you and I. Jesus said this about him in John 10:10:

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”

He is a thief. One of the main things that he wants to steal, kill, and destroy is our joy. Satan is the joy killer. He does not want us to have joy. Joy is when Jesus is first, others are second, and we are last. Instead, he wants us to have yoj. Yoj is us first, others second, and coming in at a very distant third…we have Jesus. That is how Satan wants it. He wants us to not to have joy. The Bible says in Nehemiah 8:10:

“Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

We can choose to be filled with His joy by keeping Him first, others second, and ourselves last. Hang in there. Stand firm in the Lord! Satan does not want the joy of the Lord to be your strength because he knows that when it is you are powerful, and you are a huge threat to him. May the joy of the Lord be your strength!
