The God who never changes
It has been said that the only constant in time is change. Inevitably, things change. You and I grow older. Our desires and wants change over time. What we considered as valuable and important as children is different once we become adults. There are changes that come in life that we enjoy, and some we do not. One minute it could be nothing but blue skies and sunshine and then the next moment it is raining like cats and dogs. Life is full of changes, some good and some bad. Maybe right now you are experiencing some changes in your life that you do not like. Maybe it is a friend that you were once very close with that has betrayed you, or maybe a family member who you were once close with and that is not the case anymore. We are going to go through changes in our lives but the good news is we serve a Savior who never, ever changes! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Jesus Christ will never change, and that my friends, is GREAT news! His love for you will never change, His grace will never change, and His faithfulness will never change. Consider what the Bible says in Hebrews 13:8- “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. ‘ Praise the Lord! That means that no matter what changes you and I face in this life, we can be confident that He who loves us so much will never, ever change. He is the God who never changes. This corona virus has made us have to change how we normally do things and that is just another change that comes with living life. As you wake up this morning to start your day, you just remember Who is in control and Who never changes, and that is God.
Jesus Christ will never change, no matter how much life changes. The fact is folks, we have no idea from one minute to the next what is around the corner, we don’t know what changes await us tomorrow or ten years from now, but we can take heart that our Savior NEVER changes!!
