Who or what is your foundation? All of us are laying a foundation. Either our faith is in Christ alone who is the Solid Rock, or it is not. Jesus had something to say about laying a foundation. He said this in Matthew 7:24-27:

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

So, what kind of foundation will you build your house on? The foundation of Christ the Solid Rock? Or, a faulty, sandy foundation? Only Jesus is mighty to save. Only Jesus is Lord. Only Jesus can heal. Only Jesus can be that Solid Rock. In Christ alone, my hope is found. He is my light, my strength, my song. Is He those things for you too? I pray that He is. In Christ alone our hope is found!
