Hi everyone! Welcome to Mornings with Mitch where yours truly will tackle life’s issues from a Christian perspective. Now more than ever, people need Jesus Christ! People need to know the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that is why I feel led by the Lord to post each morning an encouraging word from God’s Word to help you start your day off on the right foot. For my first post on Mornings with Mitch, the title is: A tale of two voices. Did you know that you are either listening to two voices? You are either listening to the voice of Satan, who is the devil, or the voice of the Holy Spirit, who is God. It is up to you whose voice you choose to tune in to. Right now, Satan, the Father of lies, wants people to panic. He wants people to fear. A friend of mine in the ministry once told me, “Mitch, Satan would want you to think the worst”. He could not have been more right. Right now, that’s what Satan wants you and I to think: the absolute worst about each and every situation.

Right now, we are dealing with this corona virus. Well, think about it, what would Satan want you to think? “It will never go away”, “You will get sick and then you’ll give it to your friends and family”. He is always spewing lies. However, what does the Voice of Truth tell us? He tells us a different story! He tells us NOT to be afraid.

Here is your morning scripture: Isaiah 41:10:

”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

There you have it. Straight from the source! No gimmicks, no nonsense, straight from the Lord Himself. So, which voice will you choose to listen to today? You know one of the main reasons I desired to start Mornings with Mitch is because when we wake up to start our day, who or what we choose to listen to matters.

A tale of two voices… who will you choose to listen to? The Father of lies, or the Voice of Truth? The choice is yours. Choose wisely friends. Choose light over darkness. Choose life, choose Christ.!
